About Us

Who We Are

Gone4Ever shredding is a division of the arc of Alachua County, a 501 c 3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting those with developmental disabilities and raising community awareness about developmental disorders. The Arc of Alachua County is proud to employ nearly 100 developmentally disabled adults in its Gone4Ever shredding program. We continue to look for ways to benefit our developmentally disabled clients in our community.

What We Do

Gone4Ever shredding services are affordable, convenient and professional. We have the cheapest prices in town for recycling ($0.32 per lb of paper to be shredded), while maintaining the gold standard certification in document destruction — National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) certification. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and since our Gone4Ever (G4E) program is not yet fully staffed, The Arc will only allow residents to drop off their shredding at our main campus (across from Santa Fe College) one day per week (on Wednesdays each week) and only during the time period of 8 AM – 3 PM.  We will show you how The Arc’s Gone4Ever shredding service can help your business realize a better Return On Investment (ROI) for your shredding dollar. Call The Arc at 352-334-4060 and ask for Gone4Ever shredding.

Support a Great Cause

Our mission at The Arc of Alachua County is to provide a wide range of opportunities to people with developmental disabilities. More than half our shredding staff live with some sort of disability. One of our primary goals to to raise community awareness about developmental disabilities, while employing our clients in meaningful work that only pays, but enhances their sense of dignity and responsibility. All proceeds that we make go directly to help those people with developmental disabilities that receive Arc services. By choosing Gone4Ever shredding for your document destruction needs, you are helping to support a wonderfully important and meaningful cause!
